Massachusetts regulators give more recreational pot shops the OK to open

Three more adult recreational marijuana retailers have received final licenses that will allow them to open, which may provide some relief for residents and officials in Leicester and Northampton, where the first two such shops opened last week.According to the state Cannabis Control Commission, final marijuana retailer licenses have been issued to Alternative Therapies Group Inc. in Salem; INSA Inc. in Easthampton, and Pharmcannis Massachusetts Inc. in Wareham. Seven other final licensees for cultivators and product manufacturers have also been issued.A CCC spokeswoman on Monday could not say when the latest retail shops with final licenses will open. She said there is no set time between issuance of a license and the opening of a marijuana establishment, because numerous factors are involved.
